Following the success of last year’s event and in partnership with key health, social care and third sector organisations from Hull & East Riding are holding a Celebration of Life Event on 15 May 2019 at Hull Minster from 10am-4pm as part of Dying Matters Week.
The event is about organisations and professionals getting together to inform each other and members of the public about celebrating life and planning for end of life. We are currently in the planning stage and if you would like to part of such an innovative event where our aim is to ensure that life is celebrated and that we talk about death and not make it such a taboo subject
Our aim is to ensure:
that life is celebrated and that we talk about death and not make it such a taboo subject
that the public are informed about choices available to them
that health and social care professionals are informed on how to support individuals at end of life taking into account their cultural, religious and personal beliefs
We are currently in the planning stage and have a steering group made up of services from hard to reach groups in Hull & East Riding
Last year, we decided on “Celebration of Life” as the theme and title of the event to look at legacy where the public and health professionals can get information as well as talk openly about death and dying and future planning.
The event is to be supported by :

- Music
We would like to invite you to express an interest in participating in the event and to advise us how you would like to involved whether it is to:-
